Why Isn’t My iPad, iPhone or Tablet Controlling My System?
Here are three solutions:
- Is your device connected to your Wi-Fi network? If not, connect it to Wi-Fi and try again.
- Do you have Internet access on your device? If not, reboot your router by unplugging it and keeping it unplugged for five seconds. Then, reconnect the router to power it on. Wait for the unit to boot up—which usually takes two to five minutes. Then, try the system again. If you have the OvrC Home app, please use the app to reset your network or control system.
- Restoring control may require you to reboot your control system. To reset the control processor (use picture below to help identify the control processor), unplug the processor and keep it powered off for five seconds. Then, plug in the processor to restore its power. Wait for the unit to reboot—which usually takes about one to two minutes. Now, try the system again. If you have the OvrC Home app, please use the app to reset your control system.

Why Is My Cable Box/Satellite Receiver No Longer Responsive?
Give these two solutions a try:
- Reset your cable box/satellite receiver by unplugging the box. Keep it powered off for five seconds. Then, plug in your box again. Wait for the unit to reboot. This can take about one to two minutes. Once your box reboots, try the system again. If you have the OvrC Home app, please use the app to reset your cable box or satellite receiver.
- Check that the IR emitter hasn’t fallen off or been removed from the face of the cable box/satellite receiver. The IR emitter is a small black device, about half an inch in size, with a small gauge wire connected to it (use picture below to help identify the IR emitter). For the IR emitter to work properly, it should be attached to the face of the cable box/satellite receiver at a very specific location. If it’s not attached properly, reattach it to the face of your device, testing out different locations until you manage to regain control of the cable box/satellite receiver. Once the correct location has been identified, permanently attach the IR emitter.

Why Can’t I Get a Picture on My TV?
Test out the following solutions:
- Is your TV on the correct input? Cycle through the TV inputs until you get a picture.
- Do you have a surround sound system? If so, reset the home audio video receiver in Solana Beach by cutting power to the receiver. After five seconds, plug it back in to restore its power (use picture below to help identify the AV receiver). After the AV receiver has been reset, wait for the unit to boot up. This typically takes about one to two minutes. Then, try the system again. If you have the OvrC Home app, please use the app to reset your AV receiver or video system.
- In more advanced systems, you may have a video matrix switch. If so, reset the video matrix switch. To do this, cut power to the video matrix switch for five seconds. Then, plug the video matrix back in to restore its power. After one or two minutes, the system should reboot. Now, try the system again. If you have the OvrC Home App, please use the app to reset your video system or video matrix.

Did Your Music System Stop Playing or Become Non-Responsive?
- Check your Internet connection. If you’re not connected to the Internet, reboot your router by unplugging it. After five seconds, plug your router back in and wait about two to five minutes for the router to reboot. Then, try the system again. If you have the OvrC Home app, please use the app to reset your network or control system.
- Restoring music streaming may require you to reboot your control system. If you have the OvrC Home app, please use the app to reset your control system.
